Yesterdays Young Women and Excellance Program

Yesterday we had our Young Women and Excellence Program it was really really nice. Even though I had to conduct it which that part was pretty awful, but it was all really pretty the whole room was Harvesty. It was Harvesty because of the theme of the program was "A VALUE-able Harvest" We used all of Tonya Sorenson's Flowers for her wedding reception which is later on this month! We were expecting more people, but we did get a fairly good turn out. And the food was TERRIFIC THANKS TO TERI Sorenson. She is absolutely amazing she totally put the whole thing together. I had two girls do an impromptu part well pretty much every one had an impromptu part, but I had just barely asked these girls that night. And they accepted!! You know I have always been told that the Young Women Teachers/Advisers Love us, but you know I have always thought hey how can they love me they don't even know me. However it is true! As the Laural President I have learned how to love every Young Women in my ward and others. So if you are told that you are loved and don't believe it you should because even if they don't know you there is one that knows every little thing about you!!

Young Women Activity

Yesterday we went to the Homestead which is an old people home. It was really nice there anyways we went and the Spanish Branch painted some really really small pumpkins. They were really nice and pretty. So we took them to the people at the Homestead. The smiles that we recieved and the thanks we got really made my day. They are so lonely and sad that just seeing some people and having them say hello to them. I would really like to volunteer at the Homestead but I still need to ask so I hope they will let me volunteer but I will have to ask so we will see!

Lesson on dating!!

Today our lesson in young women's was about dating. It was funny we had at least five girls including me all old enough to date, but saying that they had not dated. Even though I know for a certainty that at least one girl has indeed dated! Pretty much the words of wisdom given during this lesson is to make sure you know how far you are willing to go! If while dating you only want to hold hands or after you have dated a while to give one goodnight kiss. I think for some of the girls however this lesson was a little intense! For no one truly wants to think about dating or anything else until it is staring you in the face. Our handout was really really cute so I thought i would share it! "If for your handsome prince you search Remember what you learned in church, There are LOTS of FROGS who'll want a KISS! But SAVE YOURSELF and give him this!" It had a chocolate kiss attached to it!

I went to the temple!!!

Yey I finally got to go to the temple again it was very nice!! I went with my Young Women's Teacher and her daughter even though she didn't come in with us after doing baptisms we went wedding shopping which I must admit makes me very tired!, but it was great fun for me her colors are blue and brown!!! After shopping until she dropped we ate at Applebees my first time and let me tell you I am still stuffed!!! Anyways it was great fun for me to slum with them. I cant wait to go to her reception in fact today we also got her invitation witch was really nice!!! but the highlight of my weekend no offense to them but it was the temple I had not gone in like forever!!

Whats Up???

What is up I can't really decide yet!! It has been really nice though lately!!! Yesterday I went to my schools lip sync! It was really great fun! Sometimes however it can be quite obscene and I have to turn around and stop watching, but for the most part it is really funny. One part is they had guys in red tube tops and skirts for Christmas and they did the Jingle song! We even got to see the staff and faculty up there and perform!! I had an idea once i got home It was that we should have a week of battles. So like one day we would have a So you think you can dance/sing, Teachers against students, girls against guys, athlete against athlete and lots others that i cant think of at this moment you should tell me what you think!! I might post pictures of the lip sync at a later date!!

Whats up?? I am really excited to start this blog!!! I hope to be able to keep you up to date on how I am living my life. What I will be telling you the most is my Senior year and how it is going. So far this year we have had our Homecoming week. I am also a member of my high schools student leadership program.
